Hear ye, Hear ye: Candlelight Christmas Tour at Fort Southwest Point (Come step back in time)

Fort Southwest Point in Kingston, Tennessee will be hosting a Christmas Candlelight Tour and Reception on December 11 beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting until 9:00 p.m.  Please feel free to visit us during those hours.  The public is invited and encouraged to experience the sights, sounds and flavors common to the people of the 18th Century.  Guests will be greeted at the Visitor's Center, and invited to take a candlelight tour of the fort. Beeswax candles will light the walkway, as music from the bagpipe serenades tour goers.

Special attention has been given to recreate an atmosphere of the past at the fort. Uniformed soldiers and period-dressed living history interpreters will mingle with guests and offer historical tidbits of the time. Refreshments common to our ancestors in the late 1700s will be served by Fort Volunteers. We invite you to experience a taste of the past as you sip a cup of wassail, stroll the grounds, tour Fort Southwest Point by candlelight and experience a night-time firing of our cannon. Come and join us as we return for the evening to life as it was in 18th Century America. There is no charge but any donations will assist to further the re-building program in-progress at Fort Southwest Point. We hope to see you there.
